چکیده
There are advantages in using inertial measurement unit systems (IMUS) for biomechanical analysis when compared to 2D/3D video-based analysis. The main advantage is the ability analyze movement natural performance environment, preserving ecological validity of task. Coaches can access accurate and detailed data real time use it optimize feedback performance. Efforts needed validate accuracy IMUS. We assess IMUS Xsens MVN Link system an optoelectronic (OS) as a reference measuring 3D joint angles during gymnastics round-off back handspring technique. collected kinematics from 10 participants. coefficient multiple correlation (CMC) results showed very good excellent values majority angles, except neck flexion/extension (F/E). Root mean square errors (RMSE) were below/near 10°, with slightly higher shoulder (12.571°), ankle (11.068°), thorax-thigh F/E (21.416°), thorax–thigh internal/external rotation (I/E) (16.312°). Significant SPM-1D {t} differences abduction/adduction (A/A), neck, thorax–thigh, knee, demonstrated small temporal periods. Our findings suggest that provides valid be used provide training.

متن کامل3D joint rotation measurement using MEMs inertial sensors: Application to the knee joint
This study investigated a functional calibration method to define the Cartesian bone-embedded anatomical frame necessary to calculate 3D joint angles. This method was combined with an inertial ambulatory system and applied to the measurement of 3D knee joint angles during gait. This combination was compared to a magnetic tracker system associated with a functional and postural calibration metho...
متن کاملImproving Accuracy of Inertial Measurement Units using Support Vector Regression
Inertial measurement unit (IMU) is a sensor that measures acceleration and angular velocity rate. It has become increasingly popular due to its small size and low cost comparing to typical marker-based motion capture system. Nonetheless, IMUs face considerable challenges, in particular noticeable inaccuracy from accumulated integration errors. In this project, we attempted to improve accuracy o...
